Family: Accipitridae

Description:

This small raptor has 28-40 cm in length and 56-78 cm in wingspan. Males have bluish-grey upperparts and orange-barred underparts; females and juveniles are brownish. This specie can be distinguished from others Accipiter spp. by their whitish superccilium and absence of a mesial stripe on the throat.  It occurs in Macao as a passage migrant.
