Description:

This dolphinfish has a shiny blue green body that changes to gray with green tints after death. It has flanks with golden highlights and numerous diffuse black stains. Can grow up to a length of 127 cm. Lives primarily in the ocean but may enter into coastal waters. Prey on small fishes and squid. Minor commercialized for human.
