Description:

The Barret Buttonquail is a small bird with 15-17 cm in length. The adults are rufuos-brown upperparts, rusty and buff underparts. Females have a blackish throat and upper breast. The bill, legs and feet are blue-grey. In Macao, it has been recorded in November.
