Description:
This is a small (35–52 mm head to tail lengh), dark brown bat with no fur on its tail membrane and a wingspan of 180-240 mm. It have usually a single offspring in June or July. The young are fed on their mother’s milk until, within three weeks of birth, they are able to make their first flights and begin foraging for food. In summer it frequently roost in crevices in buildings and trees.
