Family: Hemigaleidae

Description:

A slender light grey or bronzy with no prominent markings weasel shark with a long, broad rounded snout, large curved, saw-edged teeth in the upper jaw, and hooked lower teeth protruding from mouth. Can grow up to a length of 240 cm. Inhabits on the continental and insular shelves. Preys on sharks, rays, cephalopods and bony fishes. Used for human consumption.
