Japanese House Bat

Description:
This is a small bat species found in East Asia, including Japan, China, Korea, and Taiwan. It has a wingspan of about 20–25 cm, with brown or grayish fur and a relatively short, broad snout. This species is highly adaptable and often roosts in human-made structures such as buildings and temples. It is nocturnal and feeds on small flying insects, which it catches mid-air using echolocation. The Japanese pipistrelle plays an important role in controlling insect populations.
