Family: Scolopacidae

Description:

This medium-sized wader (37-41 cm) is very similar to Black-tailed Godwit which it is distinguished by the slight upward curved bill, the white and grey tail and a lack of white wing bars. In the winter the plumage is brownih-grey upperparts and, in the summer, is chestnut in head, neck, breast and belly. It is a passage migrant in Macao.
