Description:
This fern grows up to 1m in height, with a long creeping rhizome with a diameter of 1cm. Its scales are black, triangular and entire.
It is found in China, and other tropical and subtropical areas of the globe, excepting the Americas. Commonly it’s distributed among grass, sedges on river banks, ponds or lakes.
Its young fronds are eaten as vegetables.
