Family: Caesionidae

Description:

The center of scales above the lateral line of the Dark-Banded Fusilier is bluish green with black margins, giving a checkered pattern. As for the lower third of the body is white to pinkish. At night the lower half of the body turns bright red. Can grow up to a length of 30 cm. Lives around coral reefs. Used for commercial purposes and as a bait for tuna.
