Family: Hemiscylliidae


Long, slender carpet shark with grayish and brown body, dark bands and white spots. Adults can grow up to 1 m long. They live on rocky bottoms where prey at night for small invertebrates and fishes. Used for human consumption, Chinese medicine and fishkeeping.
